The anniversary of Canada Border Services Agency walking away from their port of entry on Kawennoke is fast approaching. It will be the first anniversary.

Members of the Akwesasne Peoples Fire are planning on having activities on that date.

We are also planning a media blitz to let the world know that we are still at the 4 Corners of Kawennoke. Meetings are being held to work out a plan and also to fund raise. Yes, we are still fund raising for the building and to pay our utilities.

Members have been ill and some have been hospitalised since our last update. I hope that they are on the mend and that we will be seeing them out and about in the community soon.
