CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UNOFFICIAL WINNERS OF THE KAWEHNOKE BY-ELECTION FOR DISTRICT CHIEF

Congratulations goes out to all of the unofficial winners of the Kawehnoke by-election for district chief.

The unofficial winners are Louise Thompson, Abram Benedict, Brian David and Wesley Benedict. The official results will be made available after Thursday at 5 pm. Thursday is the dealine for an appeal should there be one.

The fourth district chief position was a tie. According to the election law the tie has to be broken by a luck of the draw. The winner was Wesley Benedict.

There is also a congratulations for those that ran in this by-election. It was a new experience for many of you and I hope that should you  be asked to run again that you would consider the challenge.

I participated as an observer for one of the candidates and it was a learning experience for me.
